When I was first approached by Fury 66 guitarist, Jeff Frady asking if I would photography their one time only reunion/benefit concert at The Catalyst I was in shock. I have this on and off dream of being a photographer for a music magazine and/or website. This opportunity was like a dream come true. To be able to hang out with the band back stage and document the day leading up to the show was an honor. It was everything I thought it would be and more. The thrill of a concert, crowd screaming, guitars blaring, In a odd way, I felt at home, like this was what I was meant to be doing. All the guys in the band are great. I’d like to give them all a huge shout out for rocking The Catalyst and letting me be part of the whole process.
This one time only reunion was more than just a show, but a benefit for Grind Out Hunger and Multiple Sclerosis research. It ended up selling out, causing the Catalyst to go over capacity. I cant even explain the energy that flooded the venue that night.
It was phenomenal.

I had the opportunity last week to go to The Compound Recording Studio in Ben Lomond alongside Danny Keith, writer for the Santa Cruz Patch, to snap photos of legendary Santa Cruz punk band Fury 66. Danny was there to interview the band and I posted up snapping photos to go along with his article. We all crammed into their practice room as they played 2 songs for us before we sat down for the interview.
Fury 66 is putting on a one time only reunion show on September 10th to benefit Grind Out Hunger and Multiple Sclerosis Research. This show is not to be missed. I will be hanging out with the band all day/nigh documenting through photographs. Its going to be a blast.
