Shawn Hatjes grew up in Santa Cruz, CA. picking up photography as a hobby in high school. It is now his passion and form of artistic expression.

Shawn is currently living in Aptos, CA after attending the University of Oregon for 2 years. During his time at the University he worked as a photographer for the student run newspaper, the Oregon Daily Emerald. He primarily focuses on photojournalism, action sports, nature, fine art, and music photography.

Shawn’s current projects include working for Grind Out Hunger, shooting photos/blogging for TAC Apparel Company, Live Oak Skateboards, and shooting photos for local bands.

Other hobbies include: Volleyball, Philosophy, Creative Writing
