Fury 66 Reunion Show at The Catalyst

When I was first approached by Fury 66 guitarist, Jeff Frady asking if I would photography their one time only reunion/benefit concert at The Catalyst I was in shock. I have this on and off dream of being a photographer for a music magazine and/or website. This opportunity was like a dream come true. To be able to hang out with the band back stage and document the day leading up to the show was an honor. It was everything I thought it would be and more. The thrill of a concert, crowd screaming, guitars blaring,  In a odd way, I felt at home, like this was what I was meant to be doing. All the guys in the band are great. I’d like to give them all a huge shout out for rocking The Catalyst and letting me be part of the whole process.

This one time only reunion was more than just a show, but a benefit for Grind Out Hunger and Multiple Sclerosis research. It ended up selling out, causing the Catalyst to go over capacity. I cant even explain the energy that flooded the venue that night.
It was phenomenal.

Fury 66 Lineup:

Joe Clements – Lead Vocals
Jeff Frady – Guitar
Jon Cattivera – Guitar

Katie Ekin & Andy Kong Living Room Show

Katie Ekin and Andy Kong played a living room show in Santa Cruz, CA last Saturday evening. It was a lovely evening of music, food, wine, family, friends, and supporters. I expect to see big things from these two as they continue to gain recognition in the music world.
Enjoy a few photographs from the evening.

Jason “Ratboy” Collins

I woke up early this morning to go on a mission to snap photos of my buddy, Cameron Luther, body boarding at 26th Ave. While i was there i decided to hop on Facebook Mobile to see if anything interesting was going on. Sure enough, a bunch of my AWESOME Facebook friends were telling me to head over to The Hook because their buddy Jason “Ratboy” Collins was in the water surfing.

Now, I’ve never personally met Mr. Jason Collins, but from what I can tell he’s a pretty rad guy.
A “man of many talents”, one might say.
Surfer, fisherman, golfer…

Anyways, check out some pics of him.
Enjoy.

Always Something to Photograph

It took a while for the sun to come out today. Didnt get out of the house until around 4pm to hit the beach. I went with my buddy Cameron Luther over to E. Cliff in Santa Cruz. We walked to Pleasure Point to see what we could photograph. Ive been to Pleasure Point so many times i was a little doubtful that i would find anything to shoot…of course, i was wrong. There is ALWAYS something to photograph.

Check out my favorites…
